Just Charming

It was Terri's good idea to include a little silver charm in all the packages of blocks we sent out to our 47 participants in the Christmas Cottage exchange. All the charms are quilting/sewing related. My charm is a little rotary cutter. And I really love it. Terri has such good ideas.

So I wanted to get a necklace to wear my charm proudly. I found this little hive charm to go along with it on Etsy and it couldn't be more perfect. It was also quite inexpensive ($3.00) so I ordered it. Then I ordered a longer silver ball chain to hold both charms. I couldn't be happier wearing my necklace. I've already gotten compliments on it and it really speaks to who I am creatively. I figure that little bee over the hive is the queen - Me!

Edit - I got my charm here on Etsy and the chain here.

Absolutely.. THANK you for the charm. I got the little sewing machine, and I just love it. I'm thinking I'll fix mine on some sort of a pin.. as I'm more of a brooch girl myself. Yours looks terrific on the necklace.. the bee charm is charming for sure.

Hmm does that mean we now need to address you as Your Majesty?....lol... very cute indeed, and what a sweet idea to include the charms in with the blocks. I'm with Stephanie, I think I need that tea cup fabric.

I was also one who checked my mail for cottage blocks and as soon as I opened the mailbox - thought "silly me, it's Veteran's Day". And I had just come from the service downtown. I guess I am that excited to get the blocks!! What a sweet think to add a charm to each package. How nice of you both!!

Too cute! I have a friend who makes tons of those soldered charms and sells them at a shop in Farmington. She has so much fun finding pictures and just the right words to go with them to make a statement.

omg! clearly Queen Nanette is not "knitting" her subjects but "knighting" them! A little bit more proof reading is obviously needed here at chez boot :-)
